Ewa Wieczorek Recognized For Service To Embassy

On December 15, Ms. Ewa Wieczorek, Administrative Assistant in the Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC), received an Ambassador’s Certificate of Achievement for her service to the U.S. Embassy. The certificate was presented by Colonel Stan Prusinski, Chief of the Office of Defense Cooperation. Ms. Wieczorek is a junior at the Military University of Technology in Warsaw and is majoring in Chemical Engineering. She served in the Embassy's Office of Defense Cooperation from August until December 2006 in an internship position. She worked on a variety of projects and arranged numerous meetings with high ranking Polish and American officials. She assisted the ODC preparing for participation at Poland's International Defense Trade Show in Kielce, Poland. Ms. Wieczorek was also instrumental in organizing a very important WWII Veteran's Reception for the Ambassador which brought several hundred Polish WWII Veterans to the Ambassador's Residence. Colonel Prusinski spoke very highly of Ms. Wieczorek’s accomplishments and work ethic and said, "the ODC’s doors are always open if Ms. Wieczorek would like to return to the office.”
