The California Dreaming Festival on June 15 at the Boathouse Restaurant in Warsaw was the third such major California wine promotion in Poland organized by the Wine Institute of California. Fifty wineries featured 260 wines from sunny California at this special event attended by 300 guests.

The wide variety of special wines included wines currently present in Poland from Beringer, Delicato, Fetzer, Gallo, Mondavi, Seghesio and Trinchero, as well as possible new-to-Poland wines from Ferrari-Carano, J. Lohr, Murphy-Goode, Peachy Canyon, Rosenthal, and many other wineries.

U.S. Ambassador Christopher R. Hill officially opened the exclusive tasting event of the festival. The Ambassador, escorted by the Europe representative of the Wine Institute of California Mr. Paul Molleman, toured the venue meeting California wine representatives and many special Poles involved in distribution of California wine in Poland. Wine producers from California, who have sold wine in many places throughout Europe and the world but not yet in Poland, conducted fruitful trade meetings that should result in the introduction of many new, interesting, and delicious wines onto Polish tables.
