The Seventh Annual U.S. Embassy/Wprost Essay Contest Announces Winner

“Is American Culture Global?” That’s the theme of the seventh annual essay contest organized by U.S. Embassy and “Wprost” magazine. More than 180 students from all over Poland participated.

The first prize - a three-week stipend at the Missouri School of Journalism - went to Karolina Orzechowska, a graduate of the Institute of International Relations at the University of Warsaw. Upon her return, she will continue her work for “Wprost.”

U.S. Ambassador to Poland Victor Ashe congratulated the winners at a reception on September 10.
