United States Navy Europe Operations Sharing Seminar

United States Naval Forces Europe personnel will be conducting an operations planning seminar with members from the Polish Navy 24-27 August 2009 vicinity Gdynia, Poland. Members of the U. S. Navy element, Naples Italy will conduct briefings, discussions familiarization scenarios involving operations planning and processes at the Joint Level. to over 40 sailors from the Polish Navy. This is the first event of its kind to be conducted with specific focus on Naval Operations Planning and Process that Polish leaders will be utilizing when conducting operations around the world. The United States European Command Mil-to-Mil (M2M) program funded this event to assist Polish Armed Forces professional development and NATO interoperability initiatives. Regionally, Poland receives the most U.S. Foreign Military Financing (FMF) assistance funding and is also the sixth largest FMF recipient in the world. To date this includes over $285 million in direct FMF grants and more than $3.9 billion in FMF loans. Additionally, Poland has received more than $31 million dollars under the Combined Education Training Program (CETP) which includes: the International Military Education Training (IMET) Program; Military to Military (M2M) Program; State Partnership Program (SPP) and Combating Terrorism Fellowship Program (CTFP). Poland utilizes U.S. support to help transform and modernize the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland.
